Noticed this happening while I was sitting downstairs and decided to capture it. Purposefully underexposed to black out the bright white walls and give it that "warm" feel. Probably could've made it a little "cooler" with some adjustment to the color balance, but still like the way it came out.

Pretty much in a loss for a subject so I took the glass lamp shade in the kitchen. Again, another black background. I did some USM on this image to really make the ridges stand out.

Some more long exposure. Playing with a red light in hand. Kind of an different effect. Also, playing with low ISO at longer speeds to see what kind of result I get.

Hopefully some Christmast lights tomorrow.

So, it's been more like photo of the month here instead of photo of the day. No post work done here, just too lazy to do that part of it. I took these in the basement and put on a head lamp that had a red bulb in it and my mini maglite flashlight.

It took some playing around to get effect that I wanted. What I found was putting a white t-shirt over the light sources would diffuse the light enough to where lens flare would not appear. I can definately see working with this again and adding a motorized element to it.

Just messing around tonight. Thought I'd take a picture of my muddied up GPS unit from Sunday's ATV Poker Run. Mud was the name of the game and my GPS saw some of the action as well. Thought it would make an interesting centerpiece for a picture.

Touched the color balance up, seemed a bit warm for my tastes and as it turns out, it was warm.

Out in Dayton, OH today at the US Air Force Museum and took a pic of this fellow. Now, I haven't done anything to this yet, but I know it needs color balanced. It's way too "warm."

A little history with this guy though. Well, actually more than just military history, also a bit of personal history. First, this plane back in 1967 was the first aircraft to ever direct another aircraft (fighter) to intercept an enemy aircraft. The personal bit is that my father when serving his first tour in Vietnam flew this puppy. Now he probably flew it around 1969/1970. However, it's pretty cool to look at this fellow say "yup, I know someone who flew that."
